Small inconveniences that a seller might have overlooked for years can often be the very thing that ruins a potential buyer’s first impression of a property and nixes any interest that the potential buyer might have had. First impressions are extremely important.
One example of this that I run into time and time again is the problem with sticky doors. A seller might have become used to tugging on a difficult door or resigned to never closing them all the way, but the potential buyer will view this as an unnecessary irritation.
